The CRC for Aboriginal Health held annual symposiums, formerly
known as convocations, from our inception in 2003 to 2006, to
provide opportunities to share and network knowledge, skills and
ideas to progress the CRC for Aboriginal Health’s research
agenda and to provide forums for research, industry and community
partners to come together and learn about Aboriginal health
successes.
These annual meetings, involving the whole CRC for Aboriginal
Health community, including our partners and those we are
collaborating with on individual research projects, allowed for
questions to be answered, knowledge to be exchanged and
collaborative working relationships to be forged.
In 2007, the CRC for Aboriginal Health co-hosted the Commission
on the Social Determinants of Indigenous Health - International
Symposium on the Social Determinants of Indigenous Health as
its annual event.
In 2008 we co-hosted another major international event - the
2008 Fulbright Symposium - Health People,
Prosperous Country.
