The Office of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health has
provided the CRC for Aboriginal Health with funding to support the
attendance of Aboriginal people at international conferences or
other forums.
Specific aims include:
- enabling Indigenous researchers and research students to attend
and take part in an international conference or forum;
- encouraging the sharing of research ideas and findings;
- building networks in the Aboriginal health research
workforce;
- strengthening the capacity of Aboriginal people to participate
effectively in research and health service delivery by encouraging
individuals to build on their knowledge and experiences;
- supporting Aboriginal people to access further education
opportunities;
- promoting both individual and organisational learning to
benefit Aboriginal health and health research outcomes.
