Vanessa Harris is from Darwin and comes from a well-known local
family, which is active in health and community services. Her
family is originally from the Alyawarre people of Alpurrurulum,
also known as Lake Nash, through her maternal grandmother. She has
a Health Science degree with a management major. Before joining the
CRCAH Vanessa worked for the Office for Aboriginal and Torres
Strait Islander Health in the Commonwealth Department of Health and
Ageing.
