Professor Ross Bailie has more than 10 years of interdisciplinary
research in public health, spanning the fields of environmental
health, health-related infrastructure and health services research.
He makes a significant contribution to the program and the CRC for
Aboriginal Health more broadly through his involvement as a program
leader and also as a researcher into health-related infrastructure
and health services. He has mapped a wide range of components of
health-related infrastructure in Aboriginal communities, both
nationally and in the Northern Territory. He has also focused on
the organisation and quality of primary healthcare services in
Australia, most importantly in Aboriginal communities. As a program
leader, Ross has been closely involved in many activities,
including the development of our new approach to research. Ross
feels the most important thing about his involvement is that 'it
provides me with an opportunity to make a contribution to an
organisation that I believe has been a very positive influence in
the development of Aboriginal health research in Australia'.
