Nea Harrison provides
evaluation and research consultancies and services to CRC for
Aboriginal Health partners and external agencies. Nea’s
academic qualifications include a BA Dip Ed, MEd (Hons). She is
currently enrolled in a Doctorate of Education at The University of
Melbourne.
Nea has worked in the fields
of evaluation, training management and development, and public
health policy development in the Northern Territory for the past 20
years, with the exception of two years working as a training
manager and evaluator in Vietnam. Nea has extensive experience
working with Indigenous organisations and remote communities,
having coordinated adult education programs for the Commonwealth
Government in remote Northern Territory, South Australia and
Western Australia and coordinated the management course for
Aboriginal organisations for the Institute of Aboriginal
Development in the 1980s and early 1990s. Nea established an
accredited on-the-job training program and policies for the health
promotion program in the Northern Territory and was one of the
writers and editors of the Public Health Bush Book. With
Carol Watson, Nea managed the establishment of a Public Health
Strategy Unit in the Northern Territory. Nea has conducted a number
of commissioned evaluations and design activities over the past
three years for Commonwealth and state government departments and
community organisations.
