Dr Jeannie Devitt is an anthropologist who has been working with
Aboriginal people in the Northern Territory and Queensland in
various capacities for more than 20 years. Since the mid-1990s the
focus of her research has been Aboriginal health, with a particular
interest in communications and in renal health. She was closely
involved with the CRC for Aboriginal and Tropical Health and was
appointed to the first CRC/Aboriginal Medical Service senior
research position.
