Jane Yule began at the CRC for Aboriginal Health in August as our
‘inaugural’ Publications Manager (0.5). Jane’s
role is to oversee the production of those publications written by
our researchers, students and associates that are published by the
CRC for Aboriginal Health. She is also available for general advice
on writing, editing and publishing options.
Jane has recently overseen the establishment of a
new Discussion Paper Series, which is open to contributions from
all CRC for Aboriginal Health researchers, students and associates.
She also coordinates the editorial committee, which is in the
process of implementing an organisation-wide publications strategy.
It is hoped that this will streamline our publishing processes and
increase our ability to transfer our research to Indigenous people,
policy makers, the research community and others interested in our
research findings.
Jane also holds a (0.5) position as the
Communications Officer for Onemda VicHealth Koori
Health Unit at partner organisation The University of Melbourne. She
has a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Masters degree in history, and
qualifications in recreation and in Teaching English as a Foreign
Language. She has worked for many years as an academic editor for
Monash, Deakin and Melbourne universities, as well as for various
publishing houses. She is also an experienced interviewer and
historical researcher who specialises in oral history.
